Meet Briana Bassler

Briana focuses her practice on counseling entrepreneurs, from small start-ups to longstanding family run businesses, on all aspects of the intersection of law and business. She has expertise in designing and remaking business entity structures, corporate governance, all types of commercial contracts, international commodities transactions, risk management, investment documentation, and protecting intellectual property.

Briana started her career at elite international law firm Jones Day in Houston, where she spent four years as a commercial litigator honing her understanding of sophisticated legal practice and top-notch service. After the large firm experience, she next joined two different small but sophisticated firms where her practice expanded to include a focus on international arbitration and day-to-day business law counseling and where she learned about providing agile and innovative legal service from excellent lawyers.

 

In 2019, she moved with her family to New Mexico and joined another large elite firm, where she worked as Of Counsel focusing again on commercial litigation, along with day-to-day business law counseling and commodities transactions. She started the Bassler Law Firm in 2020 with a dream of providing superior quality legal services with honesty, creativity and availability to entrepreneurs in Texas and New Mexico. 

As a commercial litigator, Briana’s experience includes securities law, director and officer litigation, complex business torts, commodities trading and international arbitration. She has represented clients in the food and beverage, financial services, healthcare and energy industries. Her background as a disputes lawyer makes her especially well suited to advise businesses on the front end of their deals, before disputes arise.
