Meet Briana Bassler

Briana focuses her practice on counseling entrepreneurs, from small start-ups to longstanding family run businesses, on all aspects of the intersection of law and business.

She aims to advise clients on how they can execute their business ideas and apprise clients of risks and benefits of various paths. She has expertise in designing and remaking business entity structures, corporate governance, commercial contracts, international commodities transactions, risk management, investment documentation, and intellectual property.

01. Strategic Planning & Legal Counseling

We help clients set up structures and contractual documents with long-term goals in mind. We specialize in providing day-to-day legal advice to business owners, such as reviewing commercial leases, licensing deals, brand partnerships, and insurance contracts; drafting contracts for clients to use with their customers; or advising on next steps when a risk of litigation is present.

02. Business Formation & Protection

We provide strategic advice on the type of business entity to use for your endeavor, the best state of formation, and the ideal management structure. We advise on matters including insurance, trademark, copyright, and contractual/business structure protections.

We represent clients in select complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters and serve as local counsel for clients involved in New Mexico litigation.

HOW
WE HELP

01. Concierge General Counsel

We provide concierge general counsel services using either a monthly flat fee or a bespoke agreement combining flat fees and hourly fees for more complex needs.

02. Hourly Engagements

Bassler Law works on matters small and large using hourly billing for services performed. We strive to provide the maximum value in exchange for the client’s financial investment and we are diligent about tracking and documenting our work for clients.

03. Hourly Packages

For certain types of ongoing work, we offer packaged bundles of hours clients can purchase and receive a small savings as compared to hourly engagements. We currently offer packages of 10, 25 and 50 hours. Each bundle of hours is tracked in .25 increments.

04. Escrow Services

Bassler Law provides paymaster and escrow services for certain large transactions. Fees are determined as a percentage of the amount of money held in escrow. The percentage varies depending on the complexity of the transaction.
